CRACK, FOR AGES 0-100

living in tokyo is great, but i miss out on most of the fun since i'm flat broke. such was the case last night, when i could have seen a show in daikanyama, but i didn't think i had the cash. i was hungry and broke today, so i went to the atm with my fingers crossed and found out tokyo-mitsu was sitting on 5235 yen that i had forgotten about. one 210 yen service fee later, i'm 5 kiloyen richer, with a comfy 15 yen cushion left in my account. keeping true to my welfare mindstate, i took my newfound riches and promptly went to mcdonalds, which if paired with kewpie mayonaise, is pretty much crack.

i came to japan hoping to see one show and one show only. imagine my surprise when boredoms announce a reunion for a us tour, coinciding perfectly with my trip to japan. lovely. the show i wanted to see last night was eYe, who used to be the 'brains' behind boredoms. their albums ranged from grindcore to new age, and so its no surprise to see these influences come up in eYe's solo sets. here's a clip of a set he did that i found floating around on the web. not that good, but i bet you've never heard sgt. pepper-era beatles so carelessly transitioned into black flag before.
