on that note, here's some more digital stimulation comin' atcha from the streets of tokyo. this track is from polysics, who i proclaim to be the real rulers of electro/punk fusion. i was totally in love with them about 2 years ago and I was looking for other music like it. i heard about that "electroclash" thing that was going on in new york, but when i listened to it i practically puked. did you guys really take that shit seriously? i mean, i know that everything in NYC has to be appreciated ironically so you can easily distance yourself once it becomes uncool... but seriously, that was crap.
anyways, they had a bit of coverage in the states a while ago, when their record "neu" was released in the states on asian man records. this track is off of a newer japan-only record called "eno", but you can also get it on the "polysics or die!" comp available stateside on tofu records. poppy singing, screaming, twitchy beats, superhuman man-machine manipulation.
